The head of media in the Forum Baqer Darwish demanded to convert the report of Bassiouni to one of the political and legal solution tools, pointing out to the lack of a political will to implement the recommendations, and the authority is avoiding implementing it; which causing multiple violations, showing that the stage of implementing Bassiouni's recommendations was supposed to be a stage that leads to an immediate lauch to convert toward democracy and transitional justice.
Darwish continued: "the report of Bassiouni is considered the only official document acknowledged by the Bahraini Government recognized it, and it is surety to topple the Government and to make a convulsion in the legal and political situation despite the presence of dozens reports that are issued by the international human rights community which document the gross violations of human rights in Bahrain, but it has opted out of the benefits implementation, especially with the remaining of a number of senior people involved in the committing of violations in their officials positions", stressing that the implementation value of the recommendations and the treating of violations is zero.
Darwish added: "there are more than 60 states who demanded during the periodic review session of the Bahraini human rights file at Geneva to apply the recommendations of Bassiouni, and the authority accepted 185 recommendations which called upon implementing them, which means that the recommendations of Bassiouni switched to international restrictions, the matter that brings us to reaffirm the necessity of an immediate commencement for implementation of recommendations with the necessity of stating a timeframe supervised internationally by the High Commission after those recommendations gained their international reference after Geneva".
Regarding the same issue, Rowaida Mroowi, the Director of the International Center of Development, training and conflict resolution affirmed that it was possible for Bassiouni's report to be an entrance toward a political solution to save the country, achieve transitional justice, and investigate the whole human rights violations documented by the report; whereas the regime disregarded all opportunities of reform and exaggerated in indulging and honoring the perpetrators of these violations; for instance, the regime didn't investigate any of the ministers or officials in ministries the report mentioned their responsibility for human right violation, in addition to having the guts of promoting some national security men who were proven to b involved in massive violations against opinion captives.
Mroowi added: "we are today in front of proving 300 torture case the report demanded the state to investigate, in addition to proving 70 cases of killing after the report's dissemination. Moreover, the files of those who were discharged arbitrary from their jobs in companies like Alba for Aluminum, Gulf Airlines were not settled due to their confessional belonging, and they weren't justified, neither giving them back their jobs nor even giving them compensations". Mroowi clarified: "instead of working to seize historical opportunities to find a political solution in Bahrain after the issue of the report, the National Council of Bahrain presented the worst four laws in the history of the country that persisted in violating people's rights, including the right of being rallied in Al-Manama, and it was know by associations and sit-in law, in addition to the law of protecting the society from terroristic acts which was criticized by the UN and comprised withdrawing the nationality from the citizens, this is considered a procedure that breaches international governments and codes. Finally, the law of money gathering surveillance through cracking down on the activists' livelihoods and their jobs, and eventually the juvenile's law which states to imprison the youngster's father and forcing him to pay a fine if his was monitored in a rally
