19 Human Rights Organizationsurgently call the Thailand authorities not to extradite the Bahraini youth AliHaroun to the Bahraini government fearing from him being tortured again 19 Human Rights organizationsissued an urgent call asking the authorities in Thailand not extradite theBahraini youth, Ali Ahmed Ibrahim Haroun, to the Bahraini authorities. TheBahraini youth is at the hands of the Thailand authorities which want to extraditehim to the Bahraini authorities within 24 hours as a response for the Bahrainidemand through the Interpol. The organizations indicated that handing, thearbitrary sentenced, Haroun, to life imprisonment and three more years inprison based on issues related to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly,will put his life at risk especially that reports are still being issued aboutthe continuity of torture in Bahrain. It is note that Haroun was torturedduring the investigation while being in Bahrain. The organizations called the officeof higher commission and the international human rights organizations tourgently take measures to stop the handing over process that will violateHaroun’s right in asking for political asylum in the country which can ensurehis personal security and safety from the repeating of serious violations. Theorganizations stressed that Haroun has been already arbitrary arrested and thathe disclosed being tortured in Bahrain.
