The Bahrain Forum of Human Rights said that the Bahraini authorities issued an injunction to exclude ten people, with dropped nationalities, outside Bahrain, and this represents a built-up crime against those citizens (dropping nationality and exclusion) and it is a criminalized procedure in the Bahraini Constitution and the international law
The Forum added that the Fifth Criminal Court had ruled on Tuesday yesterday to exclude ten people with dropped nationalities out of the country and fined each one of them hundred dinars (260$) because of violating the immigration and residence law after dropping their nationalities on 6 November 2012 under the pretext of “harming the public security.”
The Forum stressed that the insistence of the Bahraini authorities to punish the citizens in accordance with their religious or political persuasions is a clear violation to the commitments which are made by the government of Bahrain to the international bodies and institutions
The Forum called to stop the court order of removing citizens from their homeland because it is like an arbitrary exile, and it called the United Nations to immediately intervene in order to protect these citizens and enable them to stay in their home and to enjoy their fundamental rights that are acknowledged in the international conventions
