The Bahrain Forum of Human Rights: the Bahraini authorities’ resorts to the Jordanian gendarmerie which is for the repression and torture purposes
The Bahrain Forum of Human Rights said that the resort of the Bahraini authorities to the Jordanian gendarmerie comes for the purposes of suppressing the protestors who advocate freedoms and political reform in addition to the purpose of torture that is internationally banned
The Forum added that the available certificates made by the detainees, prove the participation of Jordanian investigators in the security interrogation that takes place in the Bahraini prisons in addition to the involvement of other elements into the torture of Bahraini citizens in the arrest and detention places, including the officer Issa Awad Al-Majali , who runs the operations of torture in prisons, Mahmoud Al- Akoory an old tormentor in the criminal investigations and the officer Mohammed Owaid who is in the National Security Agency ( Intelligence )
The Forum warned that the number of Jordanian gendarmerie existing in Bahrain is about 500 based upon documents and press reports, reported by the Bahrain Mirror Press and confirmed by the U.S. Agency CNN The Forum stated that the UN laws do not permit the states to send its troops outside the boundaries of its country for the purpose of suppressing the protestors and torturing the prisoners
The Forum called King Abdullah II the King of Jordan to respect the Bahraini demands in freedom, democracy and social justice, and to order the withdrawal of the Jordanian Gendarmerie operating in Bahrain for the involvement of its members in the case of violations pertaining to human rights and conflict with the international conventions
