111 organizzazioni della società civile chiedono  La protezione del popolo palestinese, la fine dell'assedio di Gaza e il rilascio di tutti i prigionieri

 

Le organizzazioni della società civile, le istituzioni e le coalizioni che hanno sottoscritto questa dichiarazione condannano i crimini di guerra commessi dall'esercito dello Stato d'occupazione e dell'apartheid contro i civili palestinesi nella Striscia di Gaza, tra cui omicidi, bombardamenti e distruzioni di case,  palazzi residenziali e istituzioni civili, e luoghi di culto nonché l`impedimento  dell'approvvigionamento di carburante e di beni e il taglio dell'energia elettrica nella Striscia di Gaza. Questo si inserisce nel contesto del prolungato assedio imposto alla striscia di Gaza da oltre sedici anni.

Gli attacchi sproporzionati e continui da parte dell'occupazione israeliana contro i civili protetti nella Striscia di Gaza costituiscono un crimine di guerra. L'occupazione israeliana, in quanto potenza occupante, ha la responsabilità legale di garantire la protezione delle vite dei civili palestinesi protetti in tempo di guerra, secondo la Quarta Convenzione di Ginevra.

In soli due giorni, gli attacchi condotti dalle forze d'occupazione e dell'apartheid hanno causato, finora,la morte di oltre 430 palestinesi nella Striscia di Gaza, compresa l'eliminazione di oltre 10 intere famiglie, la vita di piu di 90 bambini e oltre  40 donne, in piu sei palestinesi in Cisgiordania sono stati uccisi , tra cui un bambino.

La comunità internazionale ha costantemente espresso condanna per le violazioni dei diritti umani fondamentali dei palestinesi da parte dell'occupazione israeliana. Tuttavia, il governo dell'occupazione continua a espandersi senza ritegno e senza subire conseguenze.

Il lungo assedio di Gaza ha causato gravi crisi umanitarie. Ha altresì inflitto sofferenze estreme ai palestinesi di Gaza, aumentando la loro determinazione a lottare per la libertà, la giustizia e a rompere questo assedio.

Gli attacchi recenti condotti dall'occupazione israeliana hanno provocato il dislocamento forzato di decine di migliaia di cittadini palestinesi a Gaza, costringendoli a cercare rifugio nelle scuole dell'UNRWA.

Inoltre, l'occupazione israeliana ha attuato un taglio dell'energia elettrica nella Striscia di Gaza, con gravi ripercussioni sulle strutture sanitarie. L'infrastruttura sanitaria a Gaza, già esauste a causa dell'assedio, sono diventate ancora più sovraccaricate, rappresentando una minaccia maggiore per innumerevoli vite.

Il targeting da parte delle forze d'occupazione israeliane di ambulanze e ospedali costituisce una violazione del diritto internazionale e comporta gravi conseguenze per la salute. Gaza, priva delle risorse di assistenza sanitaria di base per rispondere efficacemente a tali crisi, sta affrontando ulteriori sfide umanitarie.

Inoltre, la chiusura israeliana della Cisgiordania, inclusa la chiusura dell'unico punto di confine internazionale tra la Cisgiordania e la Giordania e la chiusura di vari punti di controllo illegali in Cisgiordania occupata, isolando così intere città e villaggi dal resto del territorio, costituisce un altro esempio di violazioni sistematiche dei diritti dei palestinesi alla circolazione e alla libertà. Al contrario, i coloni illegali in Cisgiordania godono della libertà di movimento e viaggio, indicando l'applicazione di un sistema giuridico di apartheid a due velocità da parte di Israele.

Gli attacchi dell'occupazione israeliana contro i luoghi sacri di Gerusalemme costituiscono un'altra fonte di provocazione, poiché queste attacchi sono sponsorizzati e condotti dagli elementi più estremisti del governo israeliano. Pertanto, è importante porre fine a tali attacchi il prima possibile.

Chiediamo inoltre alla comunità internazionale e alle Nazioni Unite di adottare misure immidiate ed efficaci per proteggere i civili e  esercitare pressione significativa sull'occupazione israeliana affinché si conformi al diritto internazionale stabilito nelle Convenzioni di Ginevra, in particolare la Quarta Convenzione di Ginevra, che si concentra sulla protezione dei civili durante i conflitti e l'occupazione. Inoltre, sottolineiamo la necessità di porre immediatamente fine agli attacchi organizzati contro i luoghi sacri, di liberare tutti i prigionieri palestinesi e di restituire i corpi dei martiri palestinesi alle loro famiglie.

 

Consideriamo il sostegno esplicito e incondizionato fornito dai funzionari americani ed europei all'occupazione israeliana, e l'ignoranza totale del destino del popolo palestinese, come una complicità nelle violazioni dei diritti umani e nei crimini contro l'umanità commessi da Israele, compreso il crimine di apartheid. Condanniamo la collusione di alcuni paesi con l'occupazione israeliana sotto il pretesto del diritto alla legittima difesa. Notiamo il fallimento della comunità internazionale nel chiedere conto all'occupazione israeliana per i suoi crimini e la sua impunità, e consideriamo che questa sia la ragione per cui ci troviamo nella situazione attuale.

In questo contesto, è importante sottolineare il diritto dei Palestinesi a resistere all'occupazione e a fronteggiare le sue aggressioni e violazioni dei diritti nazionali palestinesi. È dovere dei popoli e delle coscienze viventi in tutto il mondo intensificare i loro sforzi per porre immediatamente fine all'aggressione, proteggere i Palestinesi, mettere fine all'occupazione e garantire il diritto del popolo palestinese alla libertà e ai suoi diritti, in primis il diritto all'autodeterminazione e alla creazione di uno Stato indipendente sul suo territorio nazionale.
