Bahrain Forum of Human Rights: the Bahraini government exploited the incident of Al-Diyah to launch a wide campaign of violations
The Bahrain Forum of Human Rights said in a statement “that the Bahraini government exploited the denounced explosion incident in Al-Diyah to launch a wide campaign of violations, where the security forces spread the terror and panic among citizens yesterday in several regions trough campaigns of illegal raids and arbitrary arrests after midnight which reached 23 detainees most of them are from the Sanabes and Al-Mousala regions” and it’s still persisting in imposing security, political and media measures that warn of a rise in the rate of violations that exceeded 3000 detainee of opinion like what happened in the period of emergency, pointing out the dangers of continuing the offensives incitement in official media, mainly the systematic establishment of revenge and reprisal policies against demanders of democracy and political change.
The forum stressed in its statement to denounce the violence in all its forms, sources and sides, praising at the same time the strategic approach to the mobility peaceful demands of the Bahrainis, calling the Bahraini authorities to establish a culture of non-violence in official agencies and adopting the document of “non-violence” which is unleashed by the powers of national community, and considered the best way to strengthen unity among people in their various components.
The forum drew attention for the importance to establish an impartial commission of investigation about the incident of the explosion in Al-Diyah region, without the authority monopoly of the incident vision for itself, which makes the story of the authorities an object of legitimate questions.
The forum affirmed that the continuing of the authority pursuit of the escape policy toward the confrontations imposed by Bassiouni’s report and the rapporteurs of Geneva, and the symptoms of all the international appeals and further systematic violations and the policy of impunity could complicate the chances for political solutions and the transformation towards transitional justice in the country.
