Recommendations by Int’l rights groups condemning Gaza’s horrific genocide With the participation of human rights activists and civil society organizations from several countries, Insan Organisation for Rights & Liberties has organized an international webinar to discuss the humanitarian situation in Gaza, in light of the continued aggression against besieged Gaza and the worsening humanitarian and rights crisis. The following recommendations have been issued during this webinar: - We strongly condemn the crimes and violations committed by the Zionist entity, with American and British assistance, against the Palestinian people; this was also confirmed by the statement issued on October 19, 2023 by 181 civil society organistions from Arab & foreign countries;
- We affirm the right of the Palestinian people to defend their land and existence, and reject the demonisation of Palestinian resistance movements as it is an inherent right in accordance with international law;
- We call on the International Criminal Court – which has jurisdiction and legal leverage in the occupied Palestinian territory – to prosecute the perpetrators of massacres and genocide crimes, and to expand the scope of responsibility to include everyone who contributes in any way to them;
- We call on the International right community and regional and international organisations to take immediate action to stop the aggression and protect the rights of the Palestinian people, further to hold accountable those responsible for war crimes and serious violations and ensure that they are brought to justice;
- We call on the International community to stand with the Palestinian people and stand in solidarity with them in this difficult and critical period in human history;
- We call on all the human rights organisations and all advocates of justice to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people in confronting this brutal aggression and to continue massive demonstrations in various countries of the world;
- We urge the strengthening of – humanitarian, legal and media – global awareness about Palestinian suffering, and to put pressure on governments to participate and support in stopping these grievances;
- We call for the formation of an international coalition to support and aid the Palestinian people on all legal paths to achieve justice, and to ensure that the murderers of this people do not escape punishment;
- We demand action to take legal and economic measures against the parties participating in the aggression against Gaza;
• Ultimately, we reaffirm our full solidarity and unlimited support for the Palestinian people in Gaza. We will continue to work to achieve justice, and we will remain a strong voice calling for the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people.
